Full Inspection & Testing

In the absence of special requests from our customers, all our production processes follow a uniform standard to achieve the corresponding quality level and inspection standards. Some of the more important standards are listed below for your reference:

Raw materials

All kinds of raw paper, ink, printing oil, adhesive film, etc. must meet the environmental requirements, the supplier should provide regular test reports, at least once a year. During the existing production process and the inventory of finished products, the ink will not change under 800mm sight distance.

  1. Ink

Printing must be done according to the ink color of the customer’s color sample or the signed sample. The ink color must be uniform, and the density deviation and color difference of the same batch and color must be controlled within the allowed range. Good ink adhesion, no decolorization by light finger rubbing.

  1. Registration and Alignment

Registration error should be controlled within the permissible range according to the signed sample, without affecting the word meaning and the design intention. The front and back of the cards must be aligned.

  1. Graphics and Text

The printed graphics and text must meet all the requirements of the product specifications without missing any parts. Printing shall be clear, strong, and free of defects. All fonts shall be free of misspellings, with readable bar codes and correct values.

  1. Varnish

The specification of varnish must be strictly in accordance with the signed sample or customer’s request, and in accordance with the print registration. The thickness of the oil layer is moderate, with no unevenness at 500mm viewing distance. The oil layer can protect the printing without revealing the bottom of the paper and without beading. The product should have good tear and abrasion resistance after UV coating.

After varnishing, the product must be dry and transparent, with no adhesion, no streaking, and no ink contamination. Also, there is no obvious loss of color in the rubbing test.

  1. Lamination

No wrinkling of the glued PP or PE film in lamination. After lamination, The main view of the product should not allow any air bubbles and any miscellaneous spots beyond 0.3mm. The ink layer can be torn up when tearing the film evenly and slowly for half an hour after lamination. The product must be dry and clean, and no contamination or other pollution caused by dissolved ink is allowed.

  1. Die-cutting

The die-cutting size is correct, the pattern is symmetrical, and the printing registration error is within the allowable range. No tearing of any part of the product within the specifications, and picks flushes or gates should be sanded smooth. Also, the product must be clean and free of dirt and contamination.

  1. Hot and matte stamping

The metal material should be firmly attached, and the metal should not fall off when torn quickly with the adhesive tape (excluding the small white letter area). The embossing must be clear, with no damage, defects, or blindness. The stamping temperature is moderate, no blistering or scorching is allowed. The registration of stamping is accurate, error control within the allowable range.

  1. Embossing and debossing

Embossing and debossing should be evenly and moderately depressed, with full, sharp and non-bursting patterns. The registration of them is accurate, error control within the allowable range.

  1. Gluing

The box and the booklet are glued with the right amount of glue, no internal or external leakage of glue is allowed. After gluing, the bonding is firm and the torn fibers are visible at the bonding area after 10 minutes. The product will not be allowed to have scratching and soiling. And the products are formed square and parallel.

  1. Cleanliness

The main parts of all products are not dirty at 500mm sight distance, and no affect on the wording and design intent. There is no soiling such as oil, handprints, or footprints of all products.

Packing

Before packing, we need to confirm that the first deck is packed correctly, and then pack in bulk. The cards, boxes and packages should be packed according to the required quantity and weight, no mixed plates or mixed packages are allowed. Also, they must be arranged in the order and direction required by the customer.

When packing, we need to put the liner paper and padding board as required to ensure that the products inside the box are flat and protected. After packing the box must not be distinctly empty inside, too tight or too loose. The outer packaging box must be firmly printed on or labeled a list that including the inspector code, customer name, product name, specifications, quantity, production factory, production date, etc.

The stacking of goods must meet the requirements of the standards, and to ensure that the products in the box intact. Do not expose the goods to the air for a long time, or stack the goods in multiple layers directly.

Quality control process

Our quality control is always throughout the whole production process. The QC department is in charge of leading this process, which is coordinated by many departments such as Production department, Program department and Customer Service department.

Quality control standards

Our quality inspection is carried out by QC department, equipped with professionally qualified quality inspectors and equipments. For different products, we support two types of quality inspection:

  1. Full inspection
  • Suitable for: High quality A grade. By default, all products are Grade A.
  • Process: Sampling InspectionAfter Printing – Full Inspection Before Slitting – Full Inspection Before Packaging
  1. Sample inspection
  • Suitable for: Standard quality B grade, i.e. under 3000 decks or very low price products.
  • Process: Random Inspection After Printing – Random Inspection When Finishing – Full Inspection Before Packaging.
  • The number of sample inspection: 10% of the total number of orders each time.
  1. Quality control standards

           Suitable for: full inspection and sample inspection

  • Correct printing – color conforms to the color label or signed sample, no paper errors, printing contenterrors, defects, blurred plates, missing prints, The size and the registration are correct.
  • Clean and tidy layout – no oil, water, handprint, dragging, sticking, dirt, etc.
  • Excellent surface quality – no glue roll marks, wrinkled paper, blistering, breakage, paper splash, glue bleeding, spillage, etc.
  • Excellent molding quality -has accurate die-cutting, good abrasion resistance and firm bonding. No wrinkled paper, bursting of lines, damage, skewing, misalignment, shaking of lid, etc.
  • Correct order and direction – the cards are arranged in the correct order, the boxing direction is correct, the instructions are placed in the correct direction, etc.

  • MIT Paper Folding Resistance Tester & Paper Bending Stiffness Tester

These two machines can test the folding resistance and stiffness of the paper by repeated bending and folding. They are very important for the handling performance and printing clarity of the cards.

  • Ink Decolorization Tester

This device can test the abrasion resistance and decolorization of the printed ink and coating by repeated rubbing. It is important to the experience, safety and durability of the product.

  • Constant Temperature & Humidity Tester

Temperature and humidity have a direct impact on the performance of paper and printing, such as clarity, registration, drying, etc.

The instrument is able to test the behavior of paper and ink in different environments through different temperatures and humidity levels.

  • Box Vibration Tester & Box Drop Tester

These two machines are mainly used to test the performance of packaging in transportation. Box vibration test is used to simulate the bumpy environment of goods in transit, while box drop test is to simulate the phenomenon of workers throwing goods during loading and unloading, so as to comprehensively test the structural strength of products and the protection ability of packaging to products.

Outer inspection and testing

We welcome any customer to inspect the goods during any period of the order, such as confirming the ink color before printing, inspecting the goods in the middle of production, checking the goods before packing or before receiving, etc. Meanwhile, after all quality inspection processes and standards are passed, our QC department will issue a QC report for the person in charge and the sales to sign, and send it to you in both paper and electronic form.

In addition, we support the testing of raw materials and products through third party organizations, including EN71, CE, ASTM, REACH, CPC, CPSIA, CCPSA, etc. All information and products are provided with our assistance, and you only need to pay for the corresponding testing fees.

We adopt the testing mode of “one product, one certificate”, all product certificates are based on the evaluation of a particular one and are only applicable to the sample being tested.
